Österreichs Wanderdörfer is a network of Austria’s most scenic hiking regions – places where tradition, nature, and conscious travel meet. Their mission is to promote meaningful hiking experiences that connect people to landscapes, culture and local identity.

 

Over the course of one summer (2022), I partnered with their platform Weitwanderwege.com to explore and document a selection of Austria’s long-distance hiking trails.

 

I captured the atmosphere, emotion and rhythm of these multi-day journeys – from sunset routes to quiet forest paths and panoramic river walks. The visuals focused on storytelling through nature, movement and mood – designed for digital use and community engagement.
