Bad Ischl brings together the elegance of the imperial past with the relaxed charm of an Austrian summer town.

Walking in Empress Sisi’s footsteps, that shoot took me through the Kaiservilla, the Kaiserpark, the historic streets and the famous K.u.K. Hofzuckerbäckerei Zauner. The focus is on the details that make the town feel special – historic architecture, elegant cafés, gardens, local traditions and the surrounding landscape.

Rather than recreating the past, the imagery captures how this history is still part of everyday life in Bad Ischl. Elegant but relaxed, historic but lived-in, with a mix of iconic locations and small moments discovered along the way.

The result is a visual walk through Bad Ischl that feels less like a history lesson and more like experiencing the town through the eyes of someone discovering its imperial side for the first time.
